PVC is resistant to all substances commonly found in domestic wastewater and is unaffected by aggressive soil environments such as peat acids, heavy clay soils, sandy soils with a humus-rich top layer, and similar conditions.

Substances such as acetone or chloroform, to which plastics are less resistant, must not be discharged into sewers for domestic or industrial wastewater.

Practical operating temperature range:

• Continuous: 60 °C
• Short-term: 90 °C
